Steven Abboud - How to Enjoy a Business Trip

There are many companies who ask their employees to travel and go on business trips. Steven Abboud has to travel for his company, PhaZZer Electronics, Inc. on a regular basis and he always tries to make the most out of it.

Every destination has something new and beautiful to see. When you are sent on a business trip, whether it is in the United States, or abroad, you should always make time for a little sight-seeing. In some cases, this may be difficult to do if your trip is jam packed with meetings and appointments. If you know that you have a trip coming up, take the time to look over your schedule, if it is available to you. Try and leave a day early, or delay your return by a day. It is important to take some time to relax and take in the sights of a new city.

You should also take advantage of your company connections. Business trips usually involve meeting with a colleague located in that city. Befriend that colleague and ask for restaurant suggestions. If you are already familiar with this colleague, ask him or her to show you around the city a little.

If your schedule is crammed full and you have to return home right away, grab a couple of tourist brochures and information from your hotel. You can look through them on the plane ride home to determine whether or not that city would be a good future vacation spot.

Steven Abboud enjoys traveling immensely. When he has to travel for business, he tries to spend time in the city and learn about its history and culture.

Steven Abboud - Why is a Degree in Finance Useful?

Steven Abboud earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Arizona State University in 1993. A finance degree will open up a bevy of career options for recent graduates. It is a great choice for people who have an aptitude for mathematics, and an ability to organize goals, options, and resources into a long term financial plan.

A finance degree can either be specialized in accounting or in business. Each one of these specialties offers great career opportunities. Many graduates who have a finance degree go on to become financial analysts. This career involves researching a business’s or an individual’s financial status, risk tolerance, expenditures, investments, and investment history in order to make financial recommendations.

These degree holders can also work in financial consulting. In this position, they will advise on how to create shareholder value, and will provide business valuation and economic forecasts and analysis. Many businesses will hire a financial consultant to improve their financial standing. Some who have this degree, may also develop a career in corporate finance. This career requires a great deal of dedication and work. It involves finding the money to run a company, make acquisitions to grow it, planning its financial future and managing its funds. This is a great career option for people who are able to set long term goals, and keep organized and detailed records.

A degree in finance will open up a world of corporate jobs, as well as independent careers. This degree offers the option of either working for a large company, or opening up a private financial consulting firm. Steve Abboud uses his knowledge in finance to help grow PhaZZer Electronics, Inc.

Steven Abboud - How to Succeed as an Inventor

Steven Abboud invented Conductive Energy Weapon Ammunition with Chi-Myin Chang. Succeeding as an inventor and entrepreneur is difficult. In order to succeed, a certain level of commitment and specific personality traits are necessary. To succeed as an inventor and entrepreneur you need to have a vision, a goal, ambition, and tenacity.

The most difficult task for an inventor is coming up with a vision that can be made tangible. There are a lot of people who have great ideas, but more often than not, those ideas are not possible with the world’s current technology and scientific understanding. A successful inventor has both a vision and a pathway to making that vision come true.

A goal is also one of the keys to success. A vision or idea is just one piece of the puzzle. You also need to have an ultimate goal in mind. What do you want the product or object to do? What market will it fit into and how will it affect your clientele? These are all questions you have to ask yourself before you begin designing a new product.

Ambition is the next building block of success. You need a strong ambitious drive to help you design, create, and market your new product. If you are not ambitious, then you will not be able to gain investors for your new product. Without investors, you will not be able to manufacture your invention.

Tenacity is the most important aspect of all. You need to be tenacious enough to see your goal through until the end. It is important to not let anything deter you or debunk your project. Steven Abboud has all of these traits and works hard to succeed as an inventor and businessman.

Steven Abboud - Supporting Fallen Officers

Steven Abboud lends his support to charities that aid the families, and those left behind by Officers who have fallen in the line of duty. He understands that law enforcement is a dangerous and selfless job. A large majority of the men and women who work in the law enforcement field are people who want to save lives and help others. For them, the dangers are outweighed by the good they can do.

There are many dangerous jobs that can result in death. In fact, working in law enforcement is ranked number 10 on the Bureau of Labor Statistic’s list of top 10 deadliest jobs. However, working as a police officer or law enforcement official does have its risks and dangers. Officers face the threat of targeted violence and attempted murder on a regular basis. They are also often placed in dangerous situations and are prone to accidents while on the job.

Police officers face different dangers based on what city they are located in, and the size of that city. In cities that have a high population, crime is more common simply because of the number of people. A higher concentration of people can lead to a higher crime rate, therefore working in a large city can be dangerous for a police officer. In this environment, he or she may be faced with more prejudice and violence. Another factor to consider is that a major cause of death for officers are auto accidents. In a large city, officers face this threat more so than in small cities and towns.

Being a police officer is dangerous due to prejudice against law enforcement, auto accidents, and fire arm accidents. However, it is a job well worth the risk. Steven Abboud has a high respect for officers and hopes to bring a less-lethal weapon to the law enforcement community to help prevent officers from falling in the line of duty.

The Importance of Family

Family is one of the most important things in life. People often say that family is forever while friends might leave you at any moment as they come and go. While it is true that family will sometimes abandon a person, there is a sort of obligation that family members have to stick with one another. Even when one side of a family disowns another side, they usually are still somehow involved in each other’s lives at some point and in some way down the road.

Some people are afraid to have children for multiple reasons, and some of those reasons are related to the responsibility they would have in dedicating time away from their independence. The requirement to feed, nurture, clothe and school their child seems overwhelming and almost impossible at times. In fact, it is incredible how much work parents can do as opposed to how much work they were doing before they had children. It seems nearly impossible to estimate the amount of work it takes to be a parent. However, most parents claim it is totally worth the effort. This is much along the same lines of extremely difficult exercise and accomplishments: the harder it is, the more proud you can be of it.

Steven Abboud has worked as the International Sales Director and Head of Product Research and Development with PhaZZer Electronics for almost a decade, and he has been a father and a family man during all that time. He is extremely busy and hardworking and puts everything he has into doing his best, but always finds time for family. He would never take back his choices, either.  Although he is a single parent, and raising his children has not been easy, he have nurtured them and provided for them and has found his way as a successful parent to his children.

Why Society Needs Less-Lethal Weapons

A lethal weapon is sometimes the only choice a police officer has to defend his or herself. This is especially true when criminals have obtained and are using firearms. For this reason, PhaZZer Electronics have created multiple less-lethal weapons. In an attempt to save as much human life as possible, they hope that their alternative methods might be able to open a new option for an officer whose life is threatened. Instead of taking a life, the officer will have the chance to injure and temporarily incapacitate a criminal. Here are a few lesser-known benefits to using less-lethal weapons:

1.       Versatility in ammo. Although this is only true for PhaZZer products, it will likely become common across the board for all less-lethal weaponry. PhaZZer allows its clients to use not only ammo from different (even competing) companies, it also enables multiple kinds of ammunition. You can use rubber bullets, to pepper spray balls, to non-lethal electrical probes.

2.       Versatility in style. PhaZZer allows purchasers to select the color they desire and also offers different types of holsters.

3.       Effectiveness. The effectiveness of a less-lethal weapon when used correctly is extremely high. However, certain weapons such as Tasers are much less effective if the target is wearing thick clothing. This actually harkens back to the first point and strengthens PhaZZer’s case for versatility in ammunition. In a situation where electrical probes might be less effective, one could change to pepper spray balls and experience extreme effectiveness.

Steven Abboud has worked at PhaZZer since 2007 on creating less-lethal weapons and ammunition options and has used innovative designs to enhance current models. The non-lethal field still has a long way to go, and he plans to be at the forefront every step of the way.

Deciding What You Want to do

Working hard is something a lot of people do. However, people who love their jobs are far rarer than people who can work hard at things and enjoy doing so. Very few people are able to find things that they love to do especially in the line of employment.  You work at least one-third of your life, so those who enjoy it are not wasting it. Often, by the time a person finds something he or she loves to do, it is already too late and they have delved into a different career of their choice. Sometimes, they get lucky and can change the path they are on and do something they desire and enjoy. Most times, this is not the case.

The key to finding a job or career you believe in and will enjoy is opening yourself up to all the realms of possibility. Notice what kinds of careers your parents went into and try each of them out. Sometimes people are able to enjoy something their parents have been doing for years, but never considered it since they wanted to be different. It is important to consider all your options and make sure you are making a choice and taking all options into consideration.

Steven Abboud found a career working for PhaZZer as the International Sales Director and Head of Product Research and Development at inception. He works hard and loves what he does because he believes in the products he is creating and the difference it is making on the law enforcement community today. Making less-lethal weaponry for law enforcement officers and the military is something that he believes will make the world a better place and he loves working hard to make that happen. Finding something you love to do can change the course of your life and is certainly worth taking the time to discover.
